Activate Your MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card Online

Your new MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card®, issued by Synchrony Bank, arrives inactive for your protection. Activating it takes just a few minutes and only requires the card itself plus a small amount of personal information. Once active, your card is ready to use at Lowe’s stores, Lowes.com, and anywhere else the card is accepted.
The MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card® replaces the previous Lowe’s Advantage Card. If you held a Lowe’s Advantage Card, your new card carries over your account — see the note below for what to do with your old card.

What You Need Before You Start

Gather the following before visiting the activation portal so you can complete the process without interruption:

Card Number

The full card number printed on the front of your new MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card®.

3-Digit Security Code

The 3-digit security code (CVV) printed on the back of your card.

Last 4 Digits of SSN

The last four digits of your Social Security Number, used to verify your identity.
Keep your card details private. Synchrony Bank will never call, text, or email you asking for your full card number or SSN.

How to Activate Your Card Online

Go to the Activation Portal

Open a browser and navigate to lowes.syf.com/activate. The page is available in both English and Spanish — select your preferred language before you begin.

Enter Your Card Number

Type the full card number from the front of your new MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card® into the designated field. Double-check each digit to avoid entry errors.

Enter Your 3-Digit Security Code

Locate the 3-digit security code (CVV) on the back of your card and enter it in the security code field.

Enter the Last 4 Digits of Your SSN

Provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number to confirm your identity. This information is transmitted securely and is not stored by the portal.

Submit and Confirm

Review your entries, then click the Activate button. You will see an on-screen confirmation message once your card has been successfully activated.

After Activation

Once your card is activated, you can:
  • Use it immediately — your card is ready to swipe, tap, or enter online right away.
  • Access your account online — log in to the Synchrony portal to view your balance, statements, and payment options.
  • Earn MyLowe’s Rewards — start accumulating rewards on eligible purchases at Lowe’s.
Set up automatic payments or enroll in paperless statements right after activating your card to keep your account in good standing from day one.

Replacing Your Lowe’s Advantage Card

If you previously had a Lowe’s Advantage Card, your account has been upgraded to the new MyLowe’s Rewards Credit Card®. Destroy your old Lowe’s Advantage Card immediately upon receiving your new card — cut through the chip and card number to prevent misuse. Do not attempt to use the old card; only the new card is valid going forward.

Session Timeout

The activation portal will automatically time out after a period of inactivity to protect your information. If your session expires before you finish:
  • You can choose to stay logged in when prompted with the timeout warning.
  • If the session has already ended, simply return to lowes.syf.com/activate and start the process again — no information is saved between sessions.
For your security, avoid activating your card on public Wi-Fi networks or shared devices.
